Is the bed better to be hard or soft?

Hard beds can easily cause waist strain

The normal physiological structure of the human spine is an S-shaped physiological curve when viewed from the side. If you sleep on a bed that is too hard, it cannot match the normal curve of the human spine, and the waist will not be supported. Over time, it will easily cause strain and aggravate back pain. symptom.
A very hard bed will have a certain impact on the protruding bones and joints of the body. When sleeping on a very hard bed, only the head, back, buttocks, and heels bear the weight. The spine will be in a stiff and tense state, requiring support from the back muscles, and the relaxation effect that should be achieved during sleep cannot be achieved.

Soft mattresses affect spinal development

A bed that is too soft will cause your spine to curve when you lie on it, causing you to feel back pain in the short term. If this happens for a long time, it will also cause the middle part of the body to sink, the muscles in the upper part of the body to relax, and the muscles in the lower part to be tightened, which can easily cause lumbar muscle and bone strain, and even cause the spine to bend or twist.
If children in the growth and development period sleep on soft beds for a long time, it will affect the development of their spine, leading to hunchback and spinal curvature.

Therefore, the best mattress should have moderate firmness and softness. A simple principle is: lie flat, with no gap between the neck and waist; lie on the side, with the spine completely level.

Is a high or low pillow better?

Pillows are one of the important factors that affect high-quality sleep. Let me introduce a formula to you:
(Shoulder width - Head width) ÷ 2, normal situation: Generally, the pillow height is 8 to 15 cm.
Get used to sleeping on your back: The height of the pillow should be 8 to 13 centimeters, which is the height of your fist; at the same time, you can place another pillow under the knees to relieve the pressure on the spine.
Get used to sleeping on your side: The height of the pillow should be equal to the width of one shoulder when you sleep on your side, that is, 13 cm to 16 cm, so that the cervical and lumbar vertebrae are almost at the same level.

It should be reminded that: pillows need to be aired frequently. After all, your face comes into contact with pillows every day. If the pillow has too many bacteria, it will affect your health!

Easy ways to get rid of mites:

Clean bedding regularly: To remove mites, the most important thing is to ensure that there are no other dirty things in the quilt that provide breeding conditions for mites. Therefore, if possible, wash the quilt cover and pillow cover once a week.

Use sulfur soap: Sulfur soap has a very strong ability to kill mites. Dilute the sulfur soap and put it into the washing machine, and then put in the laundry detergent, which can effectively remove mites.

Exposure: The sun is the natural enemy of mites, so the quilt should be exposed to sunlight regularly to kill mites.

Ventilate the room frequently: Moisture is a condition for the breeding of mites. Therefore, we must pay attention to the ventilation of the room and maintain air circulation, which can inhibit the breeding of mites.
